Yesterday, KFC Philippines just a new twist to its latest advertisement. The food company unveiled the actor and singer Daniel Padilla (age 23) as probably the youngest ever Colonel Sanders.
The KFC advertisement is also quite different for Daniel Padilla, whose youth is usually highlighted in his endorsements and tv and film projects, the latest of which is the 2018 mega-blockbuster “The Hows of Us” with his reel to real partner Kathryn Bernardo.
The new KFC commercial shows a silver-haired Daniel Padilla initially watching a short video clip of an advertisement of fried chicken by another company.
Daniel then says that it’s nothing compared to his chicken. The KFC advertisement continues with Daniel “Colonel Sanders” Padilla extolling the originality of KFC Fried Chicken and how it is done to perfection.
As for Daniel Padilla’s version of Colonel Sanders, netizens are saying he’s a very handsome “lolo” (grandpa).
Some may find the new advertisment of KFC fresh as they cast DJ as their new product endorser. But in reality, Daniel had already promoted the brand in the past during his younger years along with her then loveteam Kathrtyn Bernardo.
